Are you ready for World Radio Day 2019?
The theme for this year is “Dialogue, Tolerance and Peace” .The idea is to look into broadcasts that provide a platform for dialogue and democratic debate over issues, such as migration or violence against women among other issues which can help to raise awareness among listeners and inspire understanding for new perspectives in paving the way for positive action.
This year Kenya Community Media Network together with our community radio colleagues will converge at Ruben Center in Mukuru Kwa Ruben informal settlement to commemorate this special day with lots and lots of creative activities.The activities shall include;panel discussions on the theme of the year,children’s activities i.e drawing and coloring from what they understand by the word peace,music and spoken word competition with key messages on ‘Dialogue,Tolerance and Peace’ and much more.Join us this World Radio Day 2019 to celebrate the impact of radio in pursuing of a more peaceful and tolerant world!
